Find the VS page on the Website of your local Volunteer Center.
Click the Login link at the top of the page.
Click the I do not have an account and would like to register link.
Fill in the form on the Register-Step
1 page with the requested information. Entries are required in
certain fields; these will be marked with an asterisk (
).
You can choose to receive text messages from VS to a mobile device such
as a cell phone or personal digital assistant by supplying the device's
phone number and the cellular plan you are a subscriber of and clicking
the Yes option for the Receive text messages? field.
Note that if you select Yes
to the Want to receive current events
in your area, community spotlights on local organizations, and general
news by email? question in the Preferences
section of the Register-Step 1
page, you are opting in to receive email from your Volunteer Center (a
setting you can change later).
Note also that if you select Yes
for the question To help us offer better
services, would you answer a few more questions about you? in the
Preferences section of the Register-Step 1 page, you will be asked
to provide optional information about yourself in a second registration
page. These additional questions will ask for more details about your
background, including gender, ethnicity, previous volunteer experience,
and how you heard about the Volunteer Center and VS.
Review the Terms and Conditions for use of VS by clicking the legal notices link.
Click Next. If you opted to provide additional information about yourself, you will be prompted to answer questions on the Register-Step 2 (About You!) page, after which you should click Next again.
