Updating Your Volunteer Account

You can update the information about you stored in your VS volunteer account. This includes your account username, contact information, preferences for receiving emails from VS, and optional information about yourself. For example, if you have recently moved, you may wish to update the address stored for you in your VS account.

 

To update your volunteer account:

  1. Log in to your volunteer account (see Logging in to Your Volunteer Account for instructions, if needed).

  2. Click the Your Account link at the top of the page.

  3. In the Personal Information section of the Account Manager page, click the Update your personal information link.

  4. Type in the new information in the fields you would like updated.

  5. If you would like to opt in or out of receiving VS emails, select Yes or No (according to your preference) for the Want to receive current events in your area, community spotlights on local organizations, and general news by email? in the Preferences section.

  6. If you would like to change the answers about your background you provided in the optional About You! section when you created your account, make sure the To help us offer better services, would you answer a few more questions about you? in the Preferences section is selected.

  7. Click Next. If you wanted to update the optional information about yourself, you will be prompted to change the answers to the questions on the About You! page, after which you should click Next again.

 

VS will return you to the Account Manager page.
